Although Ted was unaware that his assistant was three months shy of his eighteenth birthday, the court declares its intention to prosecute him for "contributing to the delinquency of a minor" to the fullest extent of the law. He's out on $50,000 bail, but who knows how long he'll have to spend in prison after he's convicted? Stockwell has gotten quite a boost in the polls since Ted's arrest and he plans on riding the trial right into the Mayor's office. Desperate, and with no other alternatives, Ted seeks out the help of the one person he knows who has Stockwell's ear - Brian.
When Ethan returns triumphantly from his successful concert debut in Harrisburg, Justin confronts him - he was at the concert, and he saw Ethan leave with an attractive, admiring fan. Ethan dismisses the incident as a harmless conversation about grad schools with some heterosexual music student. Justin accepts this explanation, until the "music student" shows up at their door, a huge bouquet of roses in hand.
As Ben's muscles continue to build, so do his 'roid rage and the tension between him and Michael. At a family dinner, Vic's new boyfriend Rodney, also positive, speculates on the challenges presented in dating someone negative - he's never been able to do it successfully. Finally, frustrated with Ben's reluctance to quit steroids and the difficulties they face in a negative/positive relationship, Michael makes one last, dramatic stand.
Although a number of pregnancy tests have come back negative, and, as Lindsay reminds her, it usually takes ten months for successful fertilization, Melanie doesn't believe she's not pregnant. And she's right - she is. Michael's daunted by the prospect of being a dad, but Brian assures him he'll be great at it.
Brian refuses to help Ted, and he remains unmoved after a separate entreaty from Emmett. But in the end, he does convince Stockwell to drop his crusade. Ted will be hit with a monster fine, he'll lose his house and everything he has, and he'll never be able to operate a porn business again, but he'll stay out of prison. When he thanks Brian for his help, Brian responds that he did it for Stockwell, not him. Debbie can't figure out why he doesn't take credit for his good deeds; Justin points out that he believes in action, not words.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is Ethan, who blusters out an apology for his less-than-noble actions. After all, he contends, Brian slept with lots of other guys when they were together. But, Justin counters, Brian never promised him anything; Ethan did. The relationship over once and for all, Brian finds Justin in the back room of Babylon. As they get laid together, the two of them make eye contact, and keep it the entire time.
